Indian Institute of Management Guwahati
Like its mentor institute, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Guwahati marked its entry into management education with an executive education programme. The programme, titled, Customised Leadership Management Programme was organised for Administrative Officers of the Government of Assam. Held from 14 to 19 February, the programme brought together 29 participants, including officers from the Indian Civil Services and departments such as Public Works. The cohort was taught by nine faculty members from IIM Ahmedabad. The five-day programme was designed to balance conceptual grounding with practical relevance, keeping in mind the policy and administrative context in which the participants operate. The programme aimed to bridge theory and practice, helping administrative officers enhance both their managerial effectiveness and their capacity to deliver public value.
As IIM Guwahati continues to evolve in its formative years, several such programmes are envisaged, with a focus on nurturing capable and forward-looking leaders.
