Student life at IIM Guwahati will evolve as the Institute grows. In its formative years, the emphasis is on fostering a close-knit, student-driven community anchored in academic rigour, collaboration, leadership, and well-being.
As the Institute expands, student life will progressively take shape through a structured ecosystem of student-managed committees, professional and interest-based clubs, and peer-led initiatives—mirroring the participative and self-governed culture characteristic of its mentor institute, IIM Ahmedabad. These platforms will enable students to engage beyond the classroom, apply learning in real-world contexts, and contribute to the Institute’s evolving traditions.
This section will be updated as these structures mature, with details on committees, club portfolios, flagship events, and the distinctive traditions that will come to define life at IIM Guwahati.
Student committees and clubs are envisioned as the backbone of campus life at IIMG—driving coordination, shaping emerging traditions, and fostering leadership through shared responsibility. As the Institute prepares to welcome its inaugural cohort (2026–2028), details regarding committee and club structures and roles will be formalised and shared.
The committee and club framework is expected to align with the participative and student-managed models prevalent across established IIMs, ensuring both continuity with institutional best practices and the flexibility to evolve in line with IIMG’s unique context.
